Spanish Journey
Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center
Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center
A fantastic program with five CMS Artists centered around Spanish influences:
Jessica Rivera, soprano — Soyeon Kate Lee, piano — Kristin Lee, violin —
Clive Greensmith, cello — Jason Vieaux, guitar. Spend a musical afternoon in Spain,
with enchanting colors, rhythms, and textures, beautifully expressed in piano trios
of Arbós and Turina, and vocal works by Falla, Rodrigo, and Obradors, the texts of which beautifully express the flair and passion
of the Spanish language. The combination of the guitar’s intoxicating sounds, the language’s seductive tones, and the vivid style
illustrate the richness of this culture. (This is the fourth Sunday of the month due to Easter falling on the third Sunday.)

Wu Han, piano & CMS Chamber Quartet
“Performances such as the one given by Wu Han and friends are the stuff of legend. When
a chamber music performance is both easygoing and insanely precise, the underlying substance
of it has a way of penetrating deeply into the human psyche. That’s what it’s all about for Han,
Finckel, and the people with whom they work. They are defining, in real time, the very essence
of chamber music.” (The Berkshire Edge 2021) Get ready for another electrifying program,
featuring one of the captivating Dvorak Piano Quartets.
